Local Galleries, Venues & Frame Shops

Our local libraries happily show local artist’s work. The space varies and you should make a visit to see how the lighting is and how much work can be hung. Call or stop in to sign up (usually for a month at a time). This is an easy way to initially get your work out in the public eye. Libraries generally do not take a commission, but since they are often in need a small donation would be welcomed. Look up your local library and contact them for information.

Below are links to some local galleries. Remember that gallery owners are very busy people. It is best to contact them via email rather than to walk in unannounced asking to have your work shown there. You might follow up with a phone call to see if they saw your email. Most galleries are also frame shops, getting your work framed there is a great way to start a relationship.

The National Collage Society holds two exhibits annually. The first one in the Spring is the Small Format Exhibit. All collages are mounted on a piece of 8X10 mat board. The second is our Juried Exhibit held in small museums and large universities. All expenses are paid for shipping, publications and jury fees. Each exhibit represents 40 states and 6 countries.
