TIPS to Photograph Your Art: Please do NOT include the frame or glass. (It is best to photograph the piece BEFORE it is under glass). Soft diffused lighting is best, unless you have professional equipment. Take the picture in natural light, in the shade or in the garage to prevent glare on the painting. Get as close as you can without going out of focus. Keep the piece as perpendicular to the camera as possible. Two suggestions for this: Tape the work to a board and have someone with steady hands hold it for you, put it on the ground, line it up to the inside of a t-square and line your camera image up as well. If using an actual camera look in your settings and make sure that your resolution is set to fine. Most phones take fairly decent photos these days as long as you have steady hands. If you have Photoshop Elements or access to some other Photo APP, check the size of your image. In PhotoShop’s menu: Image/Resize/Image Size… You will see the total Pixel dimensions at the top which should be no greater than 30MB and the resolution at the bottom should be no less than 150). If the resolution is 72, that’s probably going to be alright too, but there will better chances of a quality image at a higher resolution. *3D artist may email 2 alternate views to email@example.com
