Program with Punch
Wow! Linda’s program presentation was so chock full of information and ideas that my brain is still recovering from being stuffed!
May 20th Program
This months program presenter will be our own Linda Hawkins! Linda will share her mixed media knowledge with a “mixed bag” demo that promises to inspire and educate you with a variety of techniques. You’re sure to go home with some great ideas that you can incorporate into your next piece…perhaps you’ll be inspired to create something you can enter in our first group exhibition at the Cultural Center of Ponte Vedra in August!
Don’t forget to bring your challenge projects in early for viewing and voting.

Kevin Tobin will Return
Kevin is returning to give us a newly minted two day workshop on mono printing with Golden Open Acrylics and QoR Watercolors using Geli Plates and plexiglass plates. See our Workshops page for more about the fun and details.
This Workshop is FULL
Illusion of Metal Mini Workshop The Illusion of Metal workshop, taught by Kathy Plante, is a mixed media foray into creating the look of riveted industrial metal with a few simple materials and a set of soft metalworking tools. You will learn how to emboss and patina soft metal creating yards of textured “steel” which you will use to cover a small box, transforming it into a piece of industrial art. This technique will give your mixed media pieces a heavy duty, edgy look characteristic of urban metal grunge and is a great addition to your mixed media “toolbox” of techniques.
Each student will go home with a finished box, a length of “industrial steel” and your own set of metal working tools so you can make more “steel” at home.
The workshop will be Saturday June 10th at the JGMS building in Mandarin, from 10:00-3:00
The workshop requires that Kathy purchase tools in advance so we are asking for paid signups IMMEDIATLY if you don’t want to miss out on this class!
