Angles for Allison                                                                                                                                    I am not sure how familiar you are with Angels for Allison but we are extremely excited to be relaunching the “Angel Artist Series,” on Thursday, May 4th 2017.  With the help of the many Jacksonville area artists, the 2014 Angel Artist Series raised over $15,000 to support the mission of the Foundation.  The angels were beautifully done, and we were deeply grateful for the donation of time and incredible talents to make the event such a success. We are extremely excited to be re-launching the “Angel Artist Series,” on May 4th, 2017 from 5:30 – 8:00 on the street between The Brick Restaurant and Mellow Mushroom in Avondale.

This year, we are putting a new spin on the event.  The theme is angels in your medium: we are asking artists to paint, draw, sculpt, and portray angels using their preferred medium.  We are really excited about the idea of shaking things up and offering diverse portrayals of artists! We will still hang the traditional painted angels at the Brick starting a month before the actual event so that we can advertise for the event as well as give everyone a “sneak peak”. As for the canvases and angels artwork, these will only be displayed the night of the event, other than a select few which will be displayed early at the Brick. We will also have a raffle with donations provided by local restaurants, businesses, hotels etc.  (Artwork and Angels are due March 10th)

***In the past artists have from all over Jacksonville and the First Coast have adorned metal Angel ornaments in their own style. Now they have even more freedom of expression!
